IntelligentFTP - An I/O exception occurred.

we have a wd my cloud ex2 NAS with FTP turned on. FTP to the NAS is working with WINSCP FTP and FTPS mode. Also Intelligent FTP is working with FTP mode. But if i use the switch SSL encryption i get an An I/O exception occurred message after a while

Since the winscp connection is working both encrypted and unencyrpted it must be an issue with IntelligentFTP.

Could someone please help me with this issue.

Guys have a few questions about ShadowProtect Virtual.

We have a HP Server running Hyper-V Core 2012 running two guest operating systems.

1 Is it possible to install and use ShadowProtect Virtual on the Hyper-V Core operating system and use it to backup the two guest operating systems to a NAS.

2 Is it also possible to install the Image Manager on the Hyper-V Core OS to consollidate the backups and FTP them offsite.

Client has a new installed Small Business Server.

I installed a 30-days trial version of Shadow Protect for SBS I am a SP reseller.

After two weeks the server crashes and the client only has these images from his SP trial version.

Can my client buy at this moment a licensed copy op SP for SBS so he can use this unlicensed image to restore his server.

Looking at both Shadow Protect Server Desktop vs. Replay4 by AppAssure.

Anyone have any thoughts, feedback or experiences they can share.

I have run a few test restores to a Hyper-V VM P2V now.

The underlying hardware does not seem to matter as far as uni or dual processor systems.

i have several servers, setup with sp to backup to local attached or network storage as described as best practice, sbs white paper

i then have a removable storage device with 3 removable cartridges removable ruggadised drives to which i wish to have shadow protect images. also storage craft recommended

the local drive has 2tb of storage and contains many months of full and incrementals not running infinite incrementals just full weekly and incrementals during the day.

Does anyone know whether it s possible to pass arguments to a batch file using the Commands fields. eg:

c: admin scripts test1.bat Rotate

This doesn t appear to work in the few different ways I ve tried to express it double quotes etc - is there some special magic, or is this simply not possible.

Also, has anyone had any luck executing Powershell scripts directly from the Commands fields, or is this not possible either.

Unable to connect to server - localhost - Vista

We had ShadowProtect Desktop up and running on a laptop. Customer changed his Windows Vista password. Laptop is now connected to the Internet at the office. SPD shows that it is not connected to the localhost. When I press Connect, I get this error message:

Error connecting to server. The system cannot find the file specified.

VSSAdmin shows StorageCraft Shadow Copy Provider.

Slow Restore Using Recovery Environment

On a test server, I ve tried every driver and cannot break the 24 hour restore barrier although I did it once in 2 hours using the 2003 environment and native drivers - no explanation and did nothing different. Tried SP 3.2 and 3.3 Vista and 2003. Disabled the floppy. What next.

The boot drive of my home PC has died. It is an IDE drive. I also have two SATA drives in the system which have the backup of the boot drive on them. Problem restoring to Vmware Server

I have backed up my Windows XP SP3 system drive with Shadowprotect Desktop 3.1, and I cannot restore the backup to a virtual server I create with Vmware Server 1.0.6.

I can start the Shadowdestop recovery environment all right in Vmware Server, but the problems come when Shadowprotect starts reading the image file to start the restore process or evn just to do an image verification, I get the following error log:

Boot from the SPITEd. CD and use the file browser and the drive shows a partition of C: on the new HDD with all of the OS and user files there.
